International artist Gordon Halloran creates floating paintings in the shape of a lotus leaf, inspired by Claude Monet's water lily paintings, calving arctic icebergs and the flora and fauna of nature.

Valentine's Day at VanDusen Gardens
We met with Harry Jongerden at the magnificent VanDusen gardens to explore the site for LOTUS in summer.
A new building will open on the site after July, and we're planning for an exhibit there to herald this new structure.
These umbrellas were designed for the prince of England and the Duchess of Cornwall, for their VanDusen garden visit last year. The prince did not attend but Camilla did and she held one of these two. It wasn't a day much different from this day. Raining, about to rain or just having rained.
The gardens were wet, but even in the gray, beautiful.
